Chanen provided CM at Risk services for Howard Hughes Corporation, developer of the Lockheed Engineering & Sciences Company environmental analysis laboratory facility and separate office building.
The $6.4 million, 32,000-sq.-ft. laboratory contains clean room space, a sophisticated air balance system to control room pressure by specific activity in the room, laminar flow fume hoods and state-of-the-art liquid waste control. It is equipped with sophisticated instruments and robotics to aid chemists and technicians in analyzing samples.
The building also houses a containment facility and a standards laboratory. The laboratory was designed and built to emphasize quality, safety and security.
